Chalet Chardons is a simple yet comfortably furnished hotel in Tignes Les Brévières with up to 56 beds available. The Chardons is primarily aimed at budget minded skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts looking for an affordable ski or snowboard holiday.

The chalet is excellently located in the heart of Tignes Les Brévières with no more than a two-minute walk to any of the bars or restaurants, ski-lifts, nursery slopes or other amenities. In addition to this the children’s play area and lake are just at the back of the hotel as well as the cross-country ski/walking area. There is a supermarket just opposite the front door and free parking is available at both ends of the village, no more than 250 metres away, if the spaces right next to the hotel are full.

The majority of bedrooms are en-suite with comfortable double/twin or bunk beds. Towels can be supplied for a nominal deposit if you do not want to bring your own (fully refundable on return of the towel). All rooms have a wardrobe or chest of drawers and storage space. Most have views over the lake or village. Hot water is plentiful and all rooms are fitted with modern power showers. Hair dryers are not supplied within the rooms but can be borrowed from the office if needed. All bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily by the chalet staff as well as all communal areas.

In the hotel is an alpine style residents bar with comfortable seating serving a selection of local beers, wines and spirits as well as imported drinks such as Stowford Press, Guinness and British ales. There is a dining area with a tea and coffee station with hot drinks available throughout the day, and a large balcony overlooking the picturesque Les Brévières lake. On the ground floor is a ski and boot storage room.

In spite of being a budget hotel we pride ourselves on the quality of cuisine we offer in Chalet Chardons.

A hearty breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, fruit, preserves, yoghurts, selection of French pastries, freshly baked baguette, porridge, and different daily hot options (for example, one morning we offer sausage, hash browns and beans; another day we offer ham, scrambled egg and grilled tomatoes) plus tea (PG tips), fruit teas, coffee, hot chocolate and juice.

Afternoon tea is served from 4pm with freshly-baked cakes plus beverages.

The evening meal is the central point of the chalet day and consists of a three-course meal or banquet style meal with complimentary French wine. A cheese board is offered once a week with a selection of French cheese, homemade chutney, crackers and a complimentary port. All our food is home-made by our carefully selected professional head-chef, sous chef and kitchen team. We take pride in the quality of our food aim to provide plentiful portions as we know that skiing and snowboarding works up a good appetite! We endeavour to never let customers leave the table feeling hungry.

The hotel residents bar is open each day from 4pm when the day’s skiing or snowboarding is finished. As well as serving the usual selection of drinks, the bar plays music and shows skiing and snowboarding videos. Sky Sports is available in the nearby Moose Bar. Vin Chaud or other specialities are often available as well as snacks to tide you over between getting off the slopes and dinner.
