Two South West facing balconies open to a large open plan dining area and a separate lounge with satellite flat screen TV and a glorious wood burning stove. The fully equipped kitchen between them makes eating and cooking a perfectly social occasion, creating an ideal après ski atmosphere.
There is plenty of space for coats and boots in the apartment’s entrance hall while a ski locker in the building’s entrance hall is available for skis and snowboards.
A good sized master bedroom is located on the first floor with a comfortable double bed and plenty of storage and hanging space. This floor also has a nice sized bathroom with a huge corner bath wonderfully indulgent shower and a separate toilet.
A winding staircase takes you to the large fully carpeted gallery bedroom. Here you will find another large double bed and a very comfortable futon settee that converts into a bed. There is plenty of hanging and storage space and another generous bathroom with toilet and shower cubicle (no bath here, but the shower more than compensates).
Another short staircase leads to the loft bedroom. This Twin Bedded room with two single beds opens up to enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains from three large South West facing windows. This room also enjoys plenty of space for storage and makes an ideal kids room.

A fully equipped laundry room on the ground floor of the apartment building has large commercial washing machines and dryers and is very reasonably priced. The apartment rental includes all your bed linen and towels can be rented if required.
Lavachet is the understated gem of Tignes. While much attention is focused on the more famous areas like Val Claret, Lavachet offers quick access to very lifts. The apartment offers easy ski out, ski in access. The Lavachet nursery slope is only a few metres away and leads directly to the Paquis and Chaudannes high speed lifts which offer skiers access to two different areas of the resort.
Free shuttle buses run between the different parts of the resort every 15 minutes during the day and hourly throughout the night. Lavachet’s commercial centre is only a few metres away from the apartment building, there is an excellent Sherpa supermarket, a really good traditional French bakery, the ESF ski school and a ski lift pass ticket office. The owners indulge in freshly baked bread and croissants every day when they stay here – try the Waldkorn bread from Le Choucas, it’s fantastic. The area is quiet at night, yet has 3 of highly popular bars and several good restaurants, including the popular Le Bouchon, just outside the building’s front door.
