Tignes Spirit have Goneboarding!

We've hooked up with the guys over at UK snowboarding community site Goneboarding.co.uk to provide a Tignes Spirit blog for the coming winter.

Check out the first entry which catches up with our team riders and asks them which 5 essential items they've just gotta have in their bag for a winter season...

Sponsors: Nitro, 686, Radical Gloves, and of course Tignes-spirit.com
Setup: Nitro T1 153 for jibbing and Rook 154 for everything!, Raiden Zero or Phantom bindings with Recoil boots... sooo sick!
Years riding: 9
Home slope: Tamworth in the UK, Tignes in Europe, Northstar over the pond, & Perisher, Australia for right now!
Fav place to ride: Probably anywhere in Oz as everyone is sooo stoked here and the parks are good. Good atmosphere in the parks.. good times
Ideal day: Wake up, full English, walk out sunny day, snowed a day or two ago so the park is perfect. Get to the park & it's all new features, shred with your mates, into the pub for a beer, good meal, maybe more drinks, bed, repeat.
5 things in my bag: Camera (essential), laptop, bungee, tripod and err my boards, wouldn't get too far without them!

Ideal day riding: Blue bird day in the park with good friends and lots of energy.
5 things that always go in your bag for a winter season: 1. Snowboard stuff of course. 2. Video camera 3. Ipod.. always nice to ride to some tunes. 4. Books for the down time, which I pretend to read. 5. Sun cream.. I have learnt my lesson the hard way.

Will Radula-Scott

Sponsors: Arbor Snowboards, 686 Outerwear, Moog Royale clothing
Setup: Arbor Draft 153 and Westmark 153, Nitro/Raiden Zero bindings and Nitro Anthem boots... best setup ever!!
Years riding: 12 years since I first strapped in!
Home slope: Well I started on a little really shitty dryslope near Tunbridge Wells, ten minutes from my house, but I wouldn’t call that my home slope as I don’t ride there anymore! Hemel snow centre would be my home slope now.
Fav place to ride: Never really had a fav, but Northstar was probably the sickest park I’ve ridden. I would like to go back to America as they produce some great parks and keep them well maintained.

Ideal day riding: Not getting up too early… but getting a good amount of shred with your mates, lapping a sunny park with a bit of slush coz the temps are up and then finishing it off with a cool crisp beer chillin’ in a deckchair.
5 things that always go in your bag for a winter season: Well I find I always pack too much. I have loads of bits of snowboard equipment and clothing that I’ve collected over the years, possibly bordering on “shred hording” as I think I never know whether I might need it over the season or someone else might….so I’m well prepared I’d say. Though over 4 seasons there are things I still haven’t used, and I know I never will.
I do use my RAD cream (suncream) that keeps me rad! Other than the essentials for shredding, I pack a helmet to protect the few brain cells I have left, knee brace to keep my knee in one piece since surgery, one pair of thermals that are pretty nasty by the end of the season and a handful of hats to keep the look fresh throughout the season, haha.
