Snowchateaux Holidays are looking for staff to run their cosy Tignes-based chalets!

SnowChateaux have several positions available. One is for a couple who already have their own accommodation, and the other is for a couple who would like accommodation as part of their payment.

Looking to spend this winter in the French Alps? We are a family run and owned catered chalet company operating in France looking for experienced resort staff to help deliver our catered chalet experience to our guests.

We are looking for chalet couples to be an integral part of our snowchateaux team helping to deliver the snowchateaux experience, were we all work together to uphold our long standing commitment to excellent chalets, service and catering.

If you are a ‘people’ person that cares enough about great service and can perform professionally, consistently throughout the length of the season, then we can offer a great package in an outstanding location to spend this winter season.

We need a hands-on approach to every aspect of the work - with the understanding that you are here to work first and play second. In return, we'll show you respect and give you benefits over and above larger chalet companies.

This role involves one person being a chalet cook and the other a host. The positions either come with a studio apartment separate to the chalet or with living quarters within the chalet itself.

Skills and experience required

  •  Couples who have previously lived or worked together
  •  Previous seasonal experience is preferred
  •  Experience of catering for groups of people within a commercial environment
  •  High standards of cleaning and hygiene
  •  Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  •  A flexible hands on approach and proactive 

Chalet host duties will include the following tasks which are shared between the couple:

  • Preparation and serving of meals for our guests- welcome drinks, canapés, breakfast, afternoon tea and three course evening meal from a set menu plan
  • Daily cleaning of the chalet including bedrooms and communal areas this includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, ski storage areas, games rooms, kitchen area and living areas.
  • Chalet changeover day would include changing beds, complete cleaning of the chalet and preparing for new guests arrivals
  • Weekly stock take and shopping for replenishment of stock
  • Chalet paperwork and reports to include budgets and staff feedback
  • Snow clearing as and when required
  • Maintenance and cleaning of your chalets Jacuzzi and ensuring all paperwork is up to date and accurate
  • Household repairs to include changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
  • Ensuring that all our guests receive excellent customer service and their needs are catered for
  • Ensuring that the snowchateaux experience is maintained and to support the requests of the directors or resort manager with any additional tasks that may be required.
