New Rhythm clothing at Tignes Spirit!!

Summer is coming… can you hear ‘The Sound of Change’?!! We've just had a huge new shipment of this summer’s Rhythm clothing range arrive at the Tignes Spirit shop!

Rhythm bases itself on being part of a grass roots movement bringing together a group of individuals with a shared dream of creating a livelihood out of doing what they love.  Not only does this make for a brand that is passionate about what they are creating, it means they make pretty rad clothing!!!

Artistic Influence

Artist and long-time friend of Tignes Spirit, Scoph has been working with Rhythm for years...

As well as providing sweet threads, Rhythm Clothing has created a collective, with consistent edits and photography collating art, surf, mountains and travel, their blog and website are all well worth visit.

Summer collection

This summer Rhythm’s collection ties in many influences from Indonesian prints to 80s mom inspired tops!  As well as clothing, Rhythm have also released sunglasses, caps and summer print rucksacks. They also have a Bikini feature everyday on their blog… definitely a must see!

Rhythm has a pretty close relationship with us here at Tignes Spirit, with some of our own staff members being sponsored by Rhythm, and its influence can be seen in the summer surf resort of Hossegor, where many of our staff members reside in the summer months.

Design Processes

Tell us a couple of strange/quirky things that takes place behind the scenes at Rhythm HQ?
Hmm… Well we kind of have a bring your dog to work day. I’m not sure if that is strange but it’s pretty cool to have that energy around the office. Also, if it’s your birthday the Design Team will design you an eatable graphic for the cake!

Walk us through the design process for Rhythm’s new collection?
Normally it starts with concepts, themes, and anything that inspires you leading into the season – it may just be a collection of thoughts and notes compiled from travel and general living. From then, it’s a matter of putting your head down and getting to work to develop fabrics, create artworks, engineer garments and create the technical specs. The next stage is receiving samples and making comments, and then it’s time to orgainse a shoot and lay up that catalogue. All of this happens about 4 times a year, so important to work close to you timelines.  The spring harvest collection is looking super nice – it’s our classic surf heritage feel with a kooky twist. Our trunks are always a focus when it comes to the warmer seasons, so you can expect something new and interesting in the designs and campaign.

The Tignes Spirit staff are pretty stoked on the new range so pop into our shop here in Lavachet to get your hands on the new kit!!!  We are also doing great deals on Rhythm outerwear and with some super nice colourways, interesting prints and fading technology fabric it’s always great to get a bargain in for next season!
